VIDEO MAGAZINE ON THE BEST SERVICES 4 THE COMMUNITY OFFERED BY NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS COMMITTED TO SOCIAL CHANGE IN GREATER CHICAGO. A PROJECT OF www.media4community.org
I met Cortez Alexander at DePaul University, Arts and Letters Building, yesterday early afternoon. I meant to interview him about his experience with DREAMS FOR KIDS, NPO, and what I was looking for was a review of the organization he has direct experience with: what can he say about DREAMS FOR KIDS? They promise to give hope to kids in desperate conditions, they promise to turn charity into opportunity, they promise to develop a social movement of such a power that nobody can stop and will change the world… one kid at a time. Are you one of those kids, Cortez? Wow, this is a real challenge, too good to be true!
Cortez is the sixth of 11 kids born in a modest family living in one of the poorest neighborhood in West Chicago. He grew up surrounded by drug dealers and crime, not suspecting there could be a whole different world beyond the well-watched boundaries of his original neighborhood. He said to me that, in spite of his confinement in the only world he knew as a child, at the very bottom of his heart he always felt something would happen in his life sooner or later, and kept waiting. Watch Cortez in person telling his AMAZING story:
Good luck, Ambassador-to be Cortez! We KNOW FOR SURE we’ll hear from/about you very soon!
